From an unexpected twist of fate in the 1970s, comes a brew of profound depth: fermented Pu’er tea. Its taste unfolds with a remarkable smoothness and mellow character, often revealing delicate hints of sweet vanilla. The experience culminates in a lingering sweetness that graces the palate.

The fascinating journey of accelerating Pu’er tea’s ageing through fermentation began in the heart of Kunming, Yunnan, China. A batch of raw Pu’er, traditionally requiring years to mature, was inadvertently subjected to heightened humidity and warmth within a warehouse. Months later, tea connoisseurs were astonished to discover a transformation into a deep, rich, and mellow infusion, reminiscent of a far more aged vintage. This accidental fermentation unlocked a symphony of enhanced flavours, resulting in a taste profile that is smooth, earthy, and intriguingly complex, with whispers of dark chocolate, the sweetness of dried fruits, and that subtle caress of vanilla.
