6 REGALIA REGENT RAW PU’ER CAPSULES – Aromatic with an immediate robust and malty overtone, followed by notes of honey and a subtle smoky finish. Pu’Er Tea has provenance; if the leaves are not harvested from the Yunnan province of Northern China they cannot be regarded as authentic Pu’Er. Much like the credibility of Champagne, Pu’Er authentication follows similar standards. Only the broadest of leaves can be collected to then undergo a time-honoured, sun- drying, kneading and rolling process. Pu’Er is designed for aging, therefore a minimal content of moisture must remain to continually develop the enzymes, promoting continuous oxidization and flavour building. Our speciality Pu’Er is superior in flavour as the loose leaf is aged for a period of five years minimum, before being compressed into our signature cake for further maturing in Malaysia. Each capsule can be brewed up to eight times. Each brew unravels a new flavour sensation.
6 REGALIA REGENT RIPE PU’ER CAPSULES – Full bodied, creamy yet mellow with notes of red fruit and a subtle smoky finish. Ripe Pu’Er tea is the youngest addition to the Pu’Er family. Our ripe Pu’Er tea leaves are harvested in the same meticulous manner as our raw tea leaves. The leaves are piled, then sun-dried and continuously moistened with water. When the moisture content is at 40% and the temperature is between 25-60 degrees, the next stage in the process can commence. Every 7 days, more water is added and the leaves are turned. This step is taken for 40 days for the tea to ripen. The ripening technique is highly skilled with only a few masters having the knowledge to develop a delicious, ripe Pu’Er tea.
